Genealogical society meets March 19

The Liberty County Genealogical Society will meet next Tuesday, March 19th, at 10 a.m. in the Price Daniel Meeting Room behind the Cleveland-Partlow House on Grand Avenue in Liberty. This month’s program features a webinar titled “Finding Hidden Gems in the Census Records”. Organizers say it’s a chance to explore areas of the Census records that you might not know exist and find exciting “clues” to your past. Learn how to ferret out more information using very accessible, but often forgotten, records. Find out how to explore clues to obtain maiden names of female ancestors, professions, parentage, education and literacy, occupation and many other facts to complete your family tree.  The Liberty County Genealogical Society meets on a monthly basis with interesting and educational programs to help genealogists research their family trees. Annual dues are $20 per person or $30 a couple. Again, that Liberty County Genealogical Society gathering is next Tuesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. in the Price-Daniel Meeting Room behind the Cleveland-Partlow House at the corner of Grand Avenue and San Jacinto Street in Liberty. As always, guests are welcome. For more information, email  libertygenie@yahoo.com.
