Public invited to H-GAC transportation planning meeting

The Houston Galveston Area Council of Governments is in the process of planning transportation projects to serve their 13-county area over the next 25 years. Among the cities that will be hosting a series of public meetings on what is called 2045 Regional Transportation Plan is Liberty. According to Liberty City Manager Tom Warner, there will be total of six of these public planning discussions. The H-GAC’s Transportation 101 Public Meeting in Liberty will be on Tuesday January 29th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Liberty Center at City Hall. A panel of experts will discuss projects in the long-range planning phase, future air quality issues and traffic conformity. The public is encouraged to attend and provide comments on transportation issues affecting this region through the year 2045. Approximately $920 million in flexible funding including federal, state and local match has been authorized for projects in this region.
