Boomerang Expansion: Tuesday during the Liberty Rotary Club regular weekly meeting Adam Fernandez - general manager of Boomerang Tube, said the multimillion dollar, 500,000 square foot pipe mill, in Liberty is expanding. As one of the largest privately owned, employers in the City of Liberty, Boomerang currently has 430 at work there. With this expansion, Adam Fernandez said the total number working at the mammoth Liberty factory will grow to nearly 500. Job applicants can go online to and submit an application. The overall price tag for expansion of Boomerang is estimated at about 4 million dollars. They do plan to move from their present offices on US 90 at the Trinity River to new offices on FM 3361 where the factory is, by the end of 2019. The Ricochet Company for factory reject pipe produced at Boomerang and other pipe mills, has also been asked to move from Boomerang’s 120 acres in Liberty. We understand they will be moving to space in, or near. Ames just east of Liberty. Mr. Fernandez said Boomerang’s growth necessitates getting back the 7 acres that Ricochet has occupied for a number of years.
