DISD Pay Raises: The Dayton school board approved pay raises for the 2019-2020 school year during a special meeting Tuesday. Dayton teachers with zero to five years experience will get an extra $2,000 while those with six to 15 years get an additional $3,500. The pay increase for DISD educators with 16 to 25 years in the classroom is $4,100, and those with 26-39 years teaching experience will receive a pay raise of $4,700. All other Dayton school personnel receive a pay increase described by the district as 6 percent on the midpoint. That is in addition to a bump in the district contribution to the health plan that allows employees to get their basic insurance package at no cost.
