High-Speed Chase: Two people were jailed Monday following a high-speed motorcycle chase. Liberty County Sheriff’s Captain Ken DeFoor said Deputy Janet Coleman attempted to stop a motorcycle around 5:50 p.m. on the north end of Liberty County. That’s when the motorcyclist, 35-year-old Michael Lewis Miller of Huntsville, fled with his passenger, 25-year-old Amberlynn Nichole Jordan of San Jacinto County. The motorcyclist led deputies on a chase that went in and out of Liberty, Montgomery and San Jacinto counties with speeds reaching 115 mph. The pursuit ended in a foot chase. Captain DeFoor said deputies also recovered methamphetamine tossed from the motorcycle during the pursuit. Michael Miller has been charged with Evading Arrest by Motor Vehicle and Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Amberlynn Jordan is charged with Evading Arrest on Foot and Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Total bail for each is set at $120,000.

Body Identified: Cleveland police have identified a man found dead back on February 3. At the time, we reported the Cleveland Police Department received a report of a body under the Loop 105 bypass just west of U.S. 59. Working with the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office, Cleveland police determined the homeless man died of injuries he received in a fall from the overpass onto the pavement below. Investigators say it is unknown if he intentionally jumped or if the fall was accidental, but they have ruled out foul play. Cleveland PD Captain Scott Felts said the man has now been identified as 51-year-old Terry William Haynes.
