Truck Rolls-Explodes: An overturned 18 wheeler on Hwy 146 South closed that roadway for several hours Thursday though no one was injured. According to Dayton Police, the 18 wheeler driven by a contractor for locally owned Adams Trucking Company was north bound on 146 around 10:30 Thursday morning. Reportedly, the driver of the big rig became inattentive and left the highway, riding up on the shoulder of the road. The truck –which was carrying a trailer loaded with metallic coils- overturned, partly blocking Hwy 146 just south of CR# 4922. The impact ignited the big truck’s fuel tank and flames erupted from the rig. The driver, whose name was not available, managed to escape the burning 18 wheeler unharmed. Dayton Police say yesterday morning’s accident remains under investigation. No citations have been issued so far. Hwy 146 was closed, either partially or completely, for over three and a half hours Thursday.
