Rendition Forms: Here is an important reminder for business owners to render their taxable property by this Monday, April 1st, or file an extension to avoid costly penalties. To render is to list the taxable inventory, furniture, fixtures, machinery, equipment and other property that a business owned or managed as of January 1, 2019. Those who are not ready to file their rendition can file - by Monday - a request for an automatic extension until May 1st without penalty. Also, those whose property was damaged by a storm, flood or fire last year should file a special decreased value report that could lower their final tax obligation for this year. Property owners also have until Monday to file that decreased value report, which also indicates the property’s value as of January 1 of this year. For more info, call the Liberty County Central Appraisal District in Liberty at 936-336-5722.
