CISD Bond Election: Cleveland ISD voters are being asked to approve a $250 million bond issue when they go to the polls on May 4. Cleveland school district voters approved an $80 million bond deal in 2017 and a $35 million package in 2015. CISD Superintendent Dr. Darrel Myers said the current growth rate of the Cleveland student population continues to be much higher than was predicted back in 2015. He said, if voters approve the bond, the money will be spent in phases beginning with Phase One for $125 million. The estimated tax impact for Cleveland school district residents with a home valued at $100,000 would be about $7.81 a month. There is more information on the bond proposal on the CISD’s website – link there from kshn.com.
