Ms. Biehunko said vendor booth space reservations have already topped 100, but there are a few spaces left and they will accept applications through early tomorrow. Bridgehaven Balloon Releases: Bridgehaven Children’s Advocacy Center is planning two balloon releases for April – one in Liberty County and the other in Chambers County. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Bridgehaven Children’s Advocacy Center is working to get the word out that child abuse is an issue in both Liberty and Chambers counties. The first balloon release is set for Tuesday, April 9, at 10 a.m. in front of the Chambers County Courthouse. Then, on Thursday, April, 11, at 6 p.m. Bridgehaven will be at the Vara Faye Daniel Pavilion on the grounds of Liberty City Hall. That one will be part of the annual Candlelight Vigil honoring victims of crime and child abuse. During both events, Bridgehaven will release 382 balloons to signify and remember each of the children they served in the two counties last year.
Administrative Professionals Luncheon: The Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce’s popular Administrative Professionals Luncheon is set for Wednesday, April 24, in the Liberty Center at City Hall. Magnolia Place Health Care is once more underwriting the event, and their chef, Amber Lawson, will again cater the meal. Reservations are required, and tickets are $15 each. This is always a full-house event, so make reservations early by calling the Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber office in Liberty at 936-336-5736 or in Dayton at 257-8926. Businesses interested in donating gifts are also asked to contact the Chamber office.
