Jubilee Kids Activities: The 34th Annual Liberty Jubilee is this Friday and Saturday in downtown Liberty. The family festival has something for everyone, including the younger visitors. This year’s Jubilee will feature a new carnival provider with new rides, set up both days in the Liberty City Hall parking lot. $20 unlimited ride armbands are available for each day. Also new this year is a laser tag area and a video gaming trailer. Both are part of the unlimited armband pricing. Without the band, laser tag is $3 per game, and the video gaming is $5 for 20 minutes. Drive One: BJ Ford is hosting another “Ford Drive One for Your School” fund-raising event this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s a super way to help the seniors of both Liberty and Hardin high schools raise money for Project Graduation. It all takes place at one location – BJ Ford in Liberty. Robert Dunn, managing partner of BJ Ford, said Ford Motor Company will donate $20 per test drive up to a combined total donation of $6,000. To test drive one of those new Ford vehicles, you must be a licensed driver and at least 18 years old.
Circus Tickets: The Carson & Barnes Circus Sarus is coming to Liberty for two performances next Wednesday, March 27. They will be set up in the TVE parking lot across from the fairgrounds on FM 563. Performances are 4:30 p.m. and again at 7:30 that night. Advance tickets are available at the Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce offices in Liberty and Dayton. Advance tickets are $14 for adults and $6 for children. At the gate on circus day, adult tickets are $20 while children get in for $12.
Health Fair: Riceland Healthcare is holding a free Winnie Community Health Fair this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Organizers say they will offer free lab draws, blood glucose screenings along with cholesterol checks. They will also measure blood pressure, height and weight. In addition, Riceland Healthcare will have specialists on-hand. There will also be outdoor activities for the whole family including a bounce house along with grilled sausage links and hot dogs. Riceland Healthcare is at 538 Broadway Avenue in Winnie.
