Rendition Forms Due April 1: Here is an important reminder for business owners to render their taxable property by Monday, April 1, or file an extension to avoid costly penalties. The Liberty County Central Appraisal District mailed out those forms, along with instructions, back on January 25. To render is to list taxable inventory, furniture, fixtures, machinery, equipment and other property that a business owned or managed as a January 1, 2019. Those who are not ready to file their rendition can file, by April 1, a request for an automatic extension until May 1 without penalty. Liberty Jubilee: The 34th Annual Liberty Jubilee is this Friday and Saturday in downtown Liberty. The yearly family fun festival provides lots of food, live entertainment, children’s activities and rides, arts and crafts galore, plus much more. Friday’s Street Dance - from 8 p.m. to midnight - features Stoney Larue with special guest Mason Lively. The Jubilee festival opens Friday at noon and Saturday at 9 a.m. Admission is free both days. This year’s children’s play area includes a new carnival. Unlimited ride armbands are $20 each day. Back again this year is the white tiger exhibit, Gator Country reptiles and also camel rides. Freedom Ride & Chili Cookoff: The Liberty Freedom Ride for bicyclists, benefiting the Liberty ISD Education Foundation, is set for Saturday, April 13. In coordination, the Liberty Rotary Club will hold its annual Chili Cookoff on that same day. The non-profit LISD Education Foundation was established in 2007 to fund innovative teaching ideas on the district’s four campuses that go beyond the district’s operating budget.
