Dayton Gun Show: The 7th Annual Dayton Gun Show is this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 to 3 in the Dayton Community Center. Again this year, the event features a variety of vendors displaying guns, ammunition, gun related-items, knives, collectible coins and more. The gun show benefits both the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department and the Dayton Senior Center. Dayton Community Center Director Amanda Wilson said organizers work hard to keep the local gun show fresh with new raffles and activities each year. Admission each day is $8. Golf Tourney: The Ninth Annual Ryan Batman Williams Foundation Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, July 8, at the Tour 18 golf course in Humble. The Ryan Batman Williams Foundation was created to honor a special boy who died from a form of cancer called Neuroblastoma. It raises awareness and funds to help other children facing pediatric cancer along with their families. The fund-raising golf tourney is a four-person scramble. Cost is $125 per player. Bird Club: The Lower Trinity Valley Bird Club welcomes visitors to participate in their many activities, from monthly meetings to a wide variety of field trips. The non-profit conservation organization is dedicated to the preservation and educational study of the birds of Texas.
