Drug Arrests: The Liberty County Precinct 4 Constables Office has released the names of 5 suspects charged with drug offenses allegedly committed in the Dayton area. The arrests were made over a period from early June through late August. Three of those arrested remain behind bars. One is free on bond and another remains at large. The arrests are reported to be unrelated. Charged with drug related offenses were James Allen Duncan age 29, arrested June 6th. On July 2ndKendall Hubert Jr. also 29 was arrested. Wilfred Godfrey, age 24 remains in jail since his arrest July 10th. 38 year old Stephanie Bell is behind bars following her arrest on Aug. 21st. The fifth suspect, Lisa Gerke Giron, age 43 remains at large with an outstanding warrant for manufacture and delivery of controlled substance. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lisa Giron is asked to call Constable Robbie Thornton at call (936) 258 4711.


New Doctors at Hospital: Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center Hospital Administrator Jim Koulovatos said Dr. Prasada Nalluri and Dr Amanuel Abreha will be alternating shifts at the local clinic. Dr. Nalluri has been an internal medicine specialist for 15 years, practicing in Beaumont and most recently in the Woodlands. Dr. Amanuel Abreha also practices internal medicine in the Woodlands. Both will be working at the Liberty Dayton Medical clinic. Also joining the team will be two former employees, who have returned as Nurse Practitioners, Louis De Barge and Letha Holloway. Dr. Danny Khine, Internal Medicine Specialist retired as of last Friday.


Unclaimed Property: The State is holding about $3 billion in unclaimed money and property. If you may have any unclaimed property being held by the State of Texas, you can do a search by name on the comptroller's website. Just go to and click on the government tab then click on the "Claim it Texas" link. Comptroller Susan Combs estimates 1 in 4 Texans may have money or other property they may claim from the billions the state is holding in their names.
