Pole Barn: The Liberty Young Farmers golf tournament is coming up Saturday, July 12, at Magnolia Ridge County Club. Funds raised from this year's tourney will go toward a new pole barn that will soon be built on the grounds of Liberty High School. LISD Superintendent Dr. Cody Abshier said the 72x100 foot pole barn will give the district's students, who do not have land to house their cattle, sheep, swine or goats, a place to keep animals while preparing to compete at area livestock shows. The tournament tees off at 7 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sponsorships are also available. For information or to register, call Mike Woerner at (713) 829-2639.
