Bicyclist Killed: Cleveland police are asking for the public's help locating the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a bicyclist and then fled the scene Saturday around 4 a.m. Cleveland Chief of Police Darrel Broussard said an unidentified black woman was riding a bike on FM 2025 traveling toward Hwy 59 when she was hit from behind. Information is that a dark colored vehicle drove off, possibly turning north onto U.S. 59. Cleveland police ask anyone who witnessed that crash or noticed a dark colored vehicle with possible damage to the front end or windshield to call Cleveland PD at (281) 592 2622.


Property Value Protests: Today is the deadline for most Liberty County property owners to file a protest related to their appraised property values. That can be done in person, by mail or on the central appraisal district's website. "What's Your Bid": KSHN Radio's "What's Your Bid?" radio auction returns this Saturday for the 31styear at 9 a.m. Listeners are invited to call in and bid on a variety of merchandise and services from business around the area. Those can include vehicle maintenance service, lawn and garden products, art and crafts and lots of food. Join us this Saturday for "Wha's Your Bid" continuing from 9 to noon each Saturday morning throughout the summer on FM 99.9.


D-Day Parade: The first countywide parade saluting World War II veterans is this coming Saturday, June 7th, the day after the 70thanniversary of the 1944 Normandy invasion. The parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at Liberty's Memorial Stadium parking lot. Organizers want as many WW II vets as possible to participate. Remember, although this D-Day Parade is specifically intended to honor WW II vets, all military veterans are urged to take part.
