Commissioners: Liberty County Commissioners heard from several residents of the Sherwood Glens Subdivision in Pct #4 yesterday, as they accused Pct. #4 Commissioner Norman Brown of ignoring the condition of the roads in their subdivision. Commissioner Brown, who was presiding over the meeting in the absence of Judge Craig McNair, said he would set a time for a meeting to get together with the residents and work to find a solution. In other action, commissioners approved a one year extension on the current contract with CEC. Thats the private company that operates the Liberty County Jail.

DaytonCityCouncil: Dayton City Council, Monday night approved another key phase connected to the new Rosewood Park water well project. Council approved a contract with the R & B Group for construction of the water well pump station at Rosewood. The R & B Group was the lowest of six bidders on the project. Their bid came in at $1,126,000.

Inman Arrested Again: Houston area media sources are reporting a Dayton girl, 18-year-old Callie Inman, charged in the traffic death of a retired Houston Police officer, has been arrested again. Reports indicate Callie Inman, free on bond, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Patrick Hubert of Pearland. Hubert allegedly told police a bag of marijuana residue found in the vehicle belonged to Inman. She has been charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by Friendswood Police.

Panthers Softball Changes: The Liberty Lady Panthers will play game one in their best of 3 series on Thursday night at 7 p.m., as previously announced. However, game 2 has been changed to Friday at 6 p.m. Then, if needed the Liberty girls will play again, also on Friday night. That one will start at 8 p.m.
