HISD Bond Election: Hardin ISD is holding two more public meetings tomorrow to answer questions about the $16.8 million bond election set for May 10. If approved by voters, that money would be used to build both a new elementary campus and a new career and vocational building. The two meetings tomorrow, one at 5 and the other at 7 p.m. are both in the Hardin Elementary cafeteria. Hear them on KSHN April 23 at 8:30 a.m. The final public meeting is a week from tomorrow, April 24th, at North Main Baptist Church. Information is also available on the Hardin district website. Administrative Professionals Lunch: The Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce's popular Administrative Professional Luncheon is next Wednesday in the Liberty Center. Lunch will be catered by Linda Durio. Chamber President Mary Anne Campbell said a gift will be given to each honoree. Tickets are $13, and reservations are required. Call (936) 336 5736.

Maundy Thursday: The community is invited to tomorrow evening's Maundy Thursday service at First United Methodist Church of Liberty. Pastor Lindsey Smith said the service celebrates the Last Supper of Christ. The public is encouraged to attend the service celebrating Holy Communion and the washing of feet for those who would like to participate. The service begins at 6 p.m. in the FUMC Chapel.

Kidfish: The always popular Kidfish is less than two weeks away. Robert Dunn, vice president of BJ Ford, said the annual event will be held Sunday, April 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. Kids 16 and under are welcome to fish the well-stocked Liberty Municipal Park pond, with fishing gear provided free on a first-come, first-serve basis. Kids can also bring their own fishing equipment.

Appraisal Notices: The Liberty County CAD has begun mailing out appraisal notices to those whose property value has increased. For those property owners who disagree with the value, exemptions or any other actions, they have the right to appeal. The notice of value includes instructions on how to file a protest as well as a protest form. For info, call (936) 336 5722.
