LISD Hearing: During a special meeting Monday night, the Liberty school board unanimously approved a request from land and home owners to annex some property currently in the Hardin ISD into the Liberty school district. Now, the homeowners making the request must make their case before Hardin ISD trustees. That public hearing in Hardin is set for Tuesday, March 18th, at 7 p.m. in the Administration Annex. According to the Texas Education Code, if one of the two school boards approves the change while the other rejects it, that petition would then go before the Texas Education Commissioner for a tie-breaking decision.
