Social Security: One of the online services offered by the Social Security Administration is called “My Social Security Account”. It allows individuals to manage and review their personal secured information. The online service can be used to get verification, check benefits and payment information for those who receive benefits. Those who do not yet receive benefits can use the account to estimate retirement, disability and survivors benefits as well as accessing other information. Kim Richard with the Beaumont office of Social Security said those who do not use computers and may never set up an online account, should go online to block their account for security purposes. Go to www.socialsecurity.govor call 1-866-613-2864.
