Crash: Dayton Police Corporal Danny Carr said he and a fellow officer were heading west on FM 1960 in response to a hit and run call, when they witnessed an eastbound truck swerve into the turning lane, narrowly missing a bicyclist in that same lane. The truck driver, Lacey Jones, 22 of Montgomery, swerved back into the eastbound lane, scraping the side of another east bound truck. Then she lost control, struck a guardrail and flipped over. Ms. Jones, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital, said to have serious but not life threatening injuries. One of the women’s two dogs was also hurt and was taken to nearby Chachere Vet Clinic. No one else was hurt. Dayton Police believe Lacey Jones may have been involved in a hit-and-run crash moments earlier outside of Dayton. That incident is being investigated by the Department of Public Safety.
