Life Sentence: Two men have been sentenced to life in federal prison for their role in a murder that took place in the Hullarea in March 2011. Kenny Don Stanley, 32 and Kristopher Leigh Guidry age 28, both of Vidor, pleaded guilty this past summer to murder in aid of racketeering in connection with the death of James Sedtal. Information that was presented in court indicates James Sedtal, a member of the gang SeparateWhiteState, wounded an associate of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas. Later Kenny Don Stanley then killed Sedtal to keep the Aryan Brotherhood from retaliating. U.S. District Judge Marcia Crone, in Beaumontsentenced Guidry and Stanley to life in federal prison. Two others, Tanner Lynn Bourque and Vicki Stark-Fitts await sentencing for their role in the murder.


FD Extrication Class: The Liberty Fire Department is holding an Extrication Class open to any member of a fire department. Misty Dulaney, LibertyFire Department Administrative Assistant said the class will teach procedure and tool use when removing a trapped victim from a vehicle crash. This class is Saturday November 16th, from 8 to 5. There is no charge for members of other fire departments to attend, but they ask that you register. Candy X-Rays: As a free service, the LibertyDaytonRegionalMedicalCenterwill be glad to x-ray your child’s bag of candy after they have been trick or treating on Thursday. Stop by the emergency room at the hospital. They will do an x-ray scan to be sure it is safe. The emergency room entrance is off of Magnolia Streetin Liberty.


Pink Heals: The pink fire trucks will be rolling back into Baytownon Saturday November 2ndfor the 4thAnnual Pink Heals Event. Hosted by HoustonMethodistSan JacintoHospitalin Baytownand the Baytown Fire Department, this popular event raises money for the hospital’s cancer patient assistance fund and celebrates cancer survivors. The event is from 10 to 4 this Saturday at San Jacinto Mall in Baytown.
