Attempted Abduction: The Liberty County Sheriffs Department is investigating the attempted abduction of a Dayton student early Tuesday morning. According to Capt. Ken DeFoor, the 14 year old student was waiting for the school bus when a man described by the young student as “creepy”, driving a small white car pulled up to the bus stop and offered to take the girl to school. The suspect is described as a white male, age unknown, wearing a red checkered shirt tucked into his blue jeans, brown hair and a mustache. The man attempted to chase the student when she ran away, but due to a significant limp could not catch her. All parents and students are urged to be aware of this potentially dangerous situation.
