Fatality Case to Grand Jury: In November 2012, Dayton police reported a truck driven by Jay Green, 44, of Dayton turned into the path of an SUV on Hwy 321. The impact left Keith Somers dead at the accident scene. His 6-year-old son, Brian, died two days later at a Houston hospital. Now it appears a Liberty County Grand Jury will decide if criminal charges will be filed in connection with that crash. Dayton Police Sgt. Doug O’Quinn said he expects the case will be turned over to the Liberty County District’s Attorney’s Office for presentation to a grand jury sometime this week.
