Napper Takes Deal: Another adult suspect, Jamarcus Napper in the notorious Cleveland gang rape case has accepted a plea deal. Napper pled guilty Tuesday afternoon in front of 75thDistrict Judge Mark Morefield. He was then sentenced to 15 years in prison. That plea agreement came less than a week after one of co-defendants – Jared Len Cruse – was sentenced to life in prison.


LibertyBowl: Former Dayton Broncos quarterback Cody Green is now starting quarterback for the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. Last Saturday, Cody led the Hurricanes to the Conference-USA title with a 33-27 OT win versus University of Central Florida. That conference title carries with it a berth in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis Tennessee. The Liberty Bowl is December 31stversus the Iowa State Cyclones.


Payge Davie Benefit: The Benefit for Payge Davie and her family is this Saturday at the Dayton Community Center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All proceeds will go to help Payge Davie’s family with rising medical expenses. To find out more, call April Bently at (936) 391-5119.


Free Prostate Clinic: The Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center and KSHN Radio are once again planning a free prostate screening clinic. The date is Saturday January 12, 2013 so those who wish to participate might want to put the date on their calendar. It will be from 8 a.m. until noon. No reservations are required. Testing is done quickly at the hospital and is done on a first come first served basis.


Tunnel Closed: The Washburn Tunnel that connects Galena Park to Pasadena under the Houston Ship Channel will be closed again this weekend. The tunnel will be closed from midnight tomorrow through 4 a.m. Monday.


Santa: Ever since the building was completed, Santa has stopped by the Dayton Community Center for a visit.  This year he will be in town for two days, December 17thand 18th.  Santa will be at the community center from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parents are invited to bring their kids by for a visit and take pictures with the Jolly Old Elf himself.
