 Hotel Disturbance: Two Liberty residents are expected to be charged with state jail felony criminal mischief following an incident at Luxury Inn on Highway 90 early Thursday morning. Liberty PD Public Information Officer Jennifer Bowles said police were called to the hotel around 6:30 a.m. yesterday. When they arrived, officers found Christopher Lynn Marcontell, age 41, and Roni Leann Harris, 32, with lacerations over their entire bodies. Both were taken to Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center and then transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Officer Bowles said both local residents had consumed multiple types of narcotics and were hallucinating. The hotel room also sustained several thousand dollars in damage.

Second Death from Saturday Wreck: The 6-year-old boy injured in a Saturday wreck, which claimed the life of his father, has also died. 44-year-old Keith Somers was killed in that wreck on S.H. 321 in Dayton while his son, Brian Somers, was taken by air ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The child has since died of his injuries. Dayton Police Sgt. Doug O’Quinn said they are still investigating the accident and the case will be turned over to the Liberty County District Attorney’s Office for a determination on whether or not to file any criminal charges.

Playoff Football: The Barbers Hill Eagles face the Livingston Lions tonight in the first round of the state playoffs. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. in Turner Stadium of Humble.
