Constable under Investigation: Liberty County Constable Pct. 1 Tim Allison is under investigation by the Harris County Sheriffs Department. Harris County Deputy Thomas Gilliland said his department was called to Writ Towing early Saturday afternoon. Deputy Gilliland said when deputies arrived they found an employee of the towing company detained, in handcuffs, by Liberty County Constable Tim Allison over a dispute involving tow charges for a vehicle owned by Allison’s son-in-law. After Harris County Deputies arrived, they had Allison remove the handcuffs and release the woman. Deputies from Harris County contacted the Harris County DA’s office, which did not immediately accept any charges against Tim Allison. Deputy Gilliland said they continue to investigate. Detectives will turn over their findings to the DA’s office for possible action.

Murder for Hire: A 36-year-old Georgia man plead guilty to a murder for hire scheme with three Cleveland Texas residents as his intended victims. Maurice Underwood admitted to conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities to commit murder for hire. Incidentally the federal court information did not mention who hired the man to commit the murder – a job that was not completed.
