Attempted Robbery: Two Liberty men have been jailed for aggravated attempted robbery. Liberty Police Officer Jennifer Bowles identified the duo as 20-year-old Julian Sanchez and 21-year-old Jae-Roger Edwards. Officer Bowles said the two local men allegedly attempted to rob a man at gunpoint Friday while he was walking along MLK. The man did not give the robbers any money. A short time later, a vehicle matching the victim’s description was stopped in Dayton. Liberty police arrived to investigate, and they found a gun in the suspect’s car. However, that pistol turned out to be what’s called an air-soft gun. The two Liberty men were arrested for aggravated attempted robbery and taken to Liberty County Jail. Justice of the Peace Pct. 5 Wade Brown said he set bail for both suspects at $25,000 each.
