Armed Robbery

THE LIBERTY POLICE DEPARTMENT IS INVESTIGATING THE ARMED ROBBERY OF A MAN AT THE FIRST LIBERTY NATIONAL BANK AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE ON TRAVIS STREET SUNDAY AFTERNOON. LIBERTY POLICE PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER JENNIFER BOWLES SAID THE VICTIM WAS APPROACHED BY A MAN WITH A KNIFE WHILE HE WAS CONDUCTING BUSINESS AT THE A.T.M. SUNDAY AFTERNOON AROUND 2:20. ONCE THE THIEF GOT THE MAN’S MONEY, HE LEFT THE AREA IN A TAN OR SILVER FOUR DOOR DODGE PICK UP TRUCK. FIRST LIBERTY NATIONAL BANK PRESIDENT PAUL HENRY SAID THEY HAVE PROVIDED POLICE WITH THE VIDEO FROM THE SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS.

ACCORDING TO POLICE THE ALLEGED ROBBER IS DESCRIBED AS A WHITE MALE, STOCKY, AND ABOUT FIVE FEET FIVE INCHES TO FIVE FEET SEVEN INCHES TALL, WITH A GOATEE AND MUSTACHE WITH DARK BROWN OR BLACK HAIR. ACCORDING TO LIBERTY POLICE OFFICER JENNIFER BOWLES, HER INVESTIGATORS DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE WAS WITH HIM AT THE TIME HE ROBBED THE BANK CUSTOMER. LIBERTY POLICE RELEASED A PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN FROM THE SECURITY CAMERAS AT THE FIRST LIBERTY NATIONAL BANK ATM OF THE MAN SAID TO HAVE ROBBED A MAN AT KNIFE POINT SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
