mighty walker news story 02.03.10 Despite his 4-foot, 8-inch stature – he might best be called a mighty walker for god. In fact, 63-year-old Nick della Valle has now TRAVERSED about 7,000 miles of America’s highways dressed in clothing from biblical days. his purpose is to tell others that god loves them and their life matters. Back in 2001, Nick walked 3,300 miles – that is 100 miles for every year jesus walked the earth. that JOURNEY started in FLORIDA and ended in CALIFORNIA. then, in 2005, nick started in philadelphia and walked another 3,300 miles. now, his third journey has brought nick della valle through liberty county. "audio" Nick is accompanied by his wife, lucy della valle, although she wasn’t sold on the idea when her husband originally brought it up. "audio" nevertheless, lucy said god also spoke to her heart, and they eventually sold their belongings to begin that first journey across america. "audio" concerning the purpose behind his walks, nick said he just wants to share gods love for people. "audio" Nick and lucy consider themselves missionaries to america and storytellers for christ. one of nick’s favorite stories is the biblical ACCOUNT of zacchaeus – a man who was so short he climbed a tree to see jesus. "audio" as nick walks across the country, lucy drives behind in a motorhome. in the last few days, nick walked down highway 321 from cleveland to dayton, turning east on highway 90.
